Coming back from holiday this afternoon, Elias asked me to help him build a train… As I was working in the garden I immediately thought of a piece of haselnut tree as the Thomas-Style tank-engine. I drew the picture to check with Elias if that was what he wanted: 
That was ok with him, so we went looking for scrap wood, it’s the reason I keep the scraps anyway. 
And so I set him to work sawing the first log, sanding the bits and pieces and at last nailing all of that together. I had to help, but I think he was happy with the result.
